Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat (SVNIT-Surat), formerly known as Regional Engineering College, Surat is one of the premier institutions for engineering education and research in the country. It was established in June 1961 with facilities to run Bachelor’s Degree Programmes in Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering disciplines. The college has been renamed as National Institute of Technology and has also been offerd the status of Deemed University.

SVNIT provides quality education in a diverse and multi-cultural environment. It imparts state of the art training to students to make them competent and inspired engineers.

Admission to BTech program is made on the basis of All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE), conducted by the CBSE.
Admission to M.Tech program is strictly based on GATE percentile.
