All India Engineering Entrance Examination is conducted for the aspiring engineering candidates seekingadmission to Engineering, Architecture, Planning and Pharmacy degree courses across the top AIEEE colleges and institutes in the country. AIEEE is gateway to many IITs, NITs and state level engineering colleges and institutes across the country. The exam is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), and Department of Secondary and Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) is compliance with the directives of the Government of India (GOI).

Last year 9 lakh students participated in this exam. This year as the exam is going online like CAT, MAT and other competitive exams, maximum one lakh students will take this online exam and rest of the candidates will participate in conventional pattern of the exam. Admissions to Higher degree Programmes are based on the performance of candidates in the computer based online test conducted by BITS on 18th /19th December 2010.

What is Chemical Engineering all About??Is it Just Chemistry??

Chemical engineering is the branch of engineering that deals with the application of physical science (e.g., chemistry and physics), and life sciences (e.g., biology, microbiology and biochemistry) with mathematic, to the process of converting raw materials or chemicals into more useful or valuable forms. In addition to producing useful materials, modern chemical engineering is also concerned with pioneering valuable new materials and techniques - such as nanotechnology, fuel cells and biomedical engineering.
